Amazing
July 17, 2007
A couple of years ago, my parents gave me a remote control airplane for Christmas. I’ll occasionally take it to the park and fly it. It’s pretty cool. But not as cool as this…
If anyone could explain to me how this is possible, I’d appreciate it.

Got something to say?

It’s the gravity- and physics-defying motor, of course.
Now my question…how did they get the video to LOOK AND SOUND LIKE that?
I talked to an airplane guy. He said that real helicopters (generally - loops not counting) cannot fly upside down, but that model ones can. They (models) have a much higher power to weight ratio and are light enough that the rotor can handle the stress. He reviewed the film and said that there was nothing shown that would be technically impossible, but thought maybe the timing had been altered- it being very difficult do those maneuvers at the speed they were being done (but each individual maneuver might be possible).
I find it amazing that the person doing the video could anticipate the fast action of the operator. He was right with the helicopter the whole time.
